Step 1. / Spray paint plastic egg gold. Let dry completely.

Step 2. / Add soil or dirt. You can drill some small holes in the bottom for drainage, if you choose.

Step 3. / Add succulents. Succulents are available at most Lowes and Home Depots store as well as online for cheap.  I got these for less that $1-3 each at Home Depot.

Step 4. / Add moss. Any moss will work. I bought this huge bag at Home Depot.

Step 5. / I added a Billy Ball aka craspedia for a pop of color.

Step 6. / Put on the clear top and tie with a jute string or a pretty ribbon. Done!

Materials: // Gold Acrylic Paint // Plastic Easter Eggs // Sheet Moss // Jute String //  Succulent Plants

Hi! I just made 14 of these as Easter gifts for my daughter’s kindergarten class. Thank you for the tutorial! I just have one question about it: can the tops be left on? I’m just wondering if the plants will eventually die if they are sealed in.

Hi Maja! I’m so glad you were able to use the tutorial! I left them off so I couls see the plants better, but if you drill some inconspicuous air holes on the sides the succulents should be fine. Hope that helps. =)
