Wedding Invitations – Vintage Luxe
Wedding Invitations – Summer Gardens
This was actually really fun. I think the hardest part was nailing down what ideas to use. I still don’t know how I feel about limiting the number of entries per designer thing… I don’t know how much self editing this cause me to do. We’re these the best design I would have put out there really? I guess we may never know. I think limiting the number of designs may cause you to test the waters more, but then you’re really just wasting time waiting for comments. Go design something. I’m going to sleep. =)

Do you design your own cute little designs or do you get them from vector sites? If so, which? And if not, can you give me some tips?

Hi Julia – The very detailed works like the jewels are from vintage books. I’m always on the hunt for vintage art via libraries, craigslist, ebay and local yardsales. The more simple art like the lanterns are drawn by me using a Wacom Cintiq. I don’t use vector stock for the minted challenges – it’s prohibited. You can find lots of clipart through Dover Publishing but you will eventually find the best images over used. I hope that helps…
