I currently have 13096 pictures in iphoto (after paring it down by 30% this year) and I could literally count on both hands the number of pictures I’m in with both my kids and husband.   Every Christmas the family photocards pour in and I am still sending photos of just the kids.  Well after reading the minted.com blog article on The Best Holiday Card Photos I was determined to at least look into getting some ideas for our family portraits.  As I pulled up site after site of cheesy family photos,  I was back to thinking there was no way I’m dressing my family in matchy matchy clothing and chucking a few hundred dollars out the window for pictures that I will hate.  If you love the matching outfits and posed smiling shots – great for you.  It’s not for me.  I want something timeless that I can hang in our home and be proud of as the years past. After some more digging, mostly on blogs, I was able to find some family portraits to aspire to.   I hope you enjoy them…

Great Style
